Experience the Coastal Florida of Yesteryear

Located in a slice of the Panhandle ideal for those who appreciate nature and want deep water, inter coastal access to the Gulf of Mexico, and thousands of acres of scallop-laden grass flats, you will find a little coastal utopia thoroughly unspoiled by time. Removed from the pustules and pockmarks of eruptive and disruptive development, those who eschew grand commercial development and view a high-rise mentality with disdain, are those who love the restful respite of this laid back coastal quarter.

This is where bays and bayous meet rivers and creeks, and coastal country charm runs deep. Where high rises, light pollution, and rush hour have ceded to original eateries and artsy antiquities in mom-and-pop boutiques. A place where spectacular sunsets yield nightly bonfires dotting the horizon on laid-back beaches of pet-friendly sands that run from Cape San Blas to St. Joe Beach.

A place that courts those that cast line and rod: Offering from the serene and otherworldly freshwater of the Dead Lakes; or calling those to put in year-round on the brackish-water lip of Wewahitchka's wide and deep Wetappo Creek; or welcoming fish tales from the offshore angler about the big one that got away.

It is within this 60-mile stretch of coastline, trademarked the "Forgotten Coast" in the early '90s by the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce and coined the "Unforgettable Coast" by the Mexico Beach Community Development District, that you will find this natural paradise.

Within these sixty miles, you can count the number of traffic lights on one hand. Within this sixty miles of less, you will find more. More than the relatively untouched and pristine Bays and estuaries abundant with sea and wildlife, more than her calm beaches of sugar-white sand that gently kiss the Gulf's emerald warmth. Within the radius of Florida's"Constitution City," time and pace have slowed and spirited, and passionate "Friday Night Lights" communities have grown.

Port Saint Joe, Cape San Blas, St. Joe Beach, Wewahitchka, Mexico Beach, and Apalachicola, where less means more and lovers of her way stay for life. Let us help you find your next paradise within these sixty miles of more.
